The building sustained extensive damage during a devastating flood in 2013. The traveling Carolina Lily block quilt will be on display through Friday, at the Fort Plain branch of NBT Bank, 41 Canal St. This vintage quilt, handcrafted with the Carolina Lily design and passed down to Palatine history buff Willis Skip Barsheid by his aunt and finished by local Amish quilters, is the first-place prize in the raffle. The second-place raffle prize is a four-foot by four-foot quilt barn square based on the design and colors of the vintage quilt, created by a local resident.
